Cat prints have become synonymous with the Karen Mabon brand. What started with some cats dressed to the 9’s has emerged into a collection of prints to be envied by cat ladies worldwide. In her newest collection, Karen took inspiration from the idiom “the Cat that Got the Cream” to create her sweetest kitten print yet: The Cat Café.
The idea for the print came to mind after a trip to Edinburgh. At the brands conception, the studio was based in the Scottish Capital just beneath the Edinburgh Castle. During her time in the city, her route to work would involve passing a cafe filled with cat beds, toys and scratch posts in a window filled with snoozing kittens. Going down memory lane, it sparked an idea for a new cat design and -- in combination with a separate design she was working on with cake at the center -- the Cat Café was born.
Featuring illustrations of seven house cats surrounded by cakes, pastries and milkshakes, the print is available across our collection of sleepwear and accessories. A particularly special edition to the collection is the Cat Café Organic Cotton Pyjama Set, which features a swing sleeve top perfect for in and out of the house as well as a berry sweet new contrast trim.
